As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will support security-related operations at a corrections location by checking identification, screening visitors and staff, monitoring entry points, and documenting activity. You will remain visible, communicate clearly, and help maintain orderly access while providing professional customer service. Requirements

• Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries using approved screening methods and equipment, and refer prohibited or questionable items for further review per site policy.
• Control access by verifying identification, logging entries and exits, issuing visitor instructions, and directing individuals to the appropriate area.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and promptly notify supervision and/or appropriate responders as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
