Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and provide customer-focused assistance to employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to facility personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and control entry and exit by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in, and directing traffic flow per site requirements.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, document patrol observations and incident details, and communicate status updates to supervision and site representatives.
