As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will support patients, visitors, and staff with a customer-first approach while documenting activity using computer and/or tablet tools. Requirements

  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, medical facility disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and timely communication with site leadership and emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance and security-related concerns.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other security-related systems when assigned, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations through the required reporting channels.
  • Complete detailed shift documentation, incident reports, and patrol logs, and coordinate with Allied Universal supervision and site personnel to support consistent post operations.
