Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Officer supporting a retail and mall location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will complete routine rounds, support access points, and deliver strong customer service while using teamwork and integrity. Requirements
- Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests and tenant staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and timely notifications to site contacts and/or public resources as directed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors, common areas, entrances, back-of-house corridors, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe for suspicious behavior, policy violations, loitering, and/or unauthorized persons, and document observations per post orders.
- Complete required reports and activity logs, communicate using radios and/or other systems, and support opening and closing routines as assigned.
