Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage incidents. You will support daily operations through strong communication, customer service, and a people-first approach while bringing agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.
Requirements
- A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, operational concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, and delivery drivers, following site access procedures and reporting discrepancies, suspicious behavior, and/or policy concerns.
- Support loss prevention and facility operations by observing shipping and receiving areas, reporting damaged property or operational hazards, and/or assisting with incident response as directed by site procedures.
