As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and provide clear communication and customer service to employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, corridors, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, directing visitors to the proper check-in process and/or department as required by post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public responders as needed.
  • Complete written and/or electronic reports, including patrol logs, incident documentation, and observations related to security-related and operational concerns.
