As an unarmed officer patrolling a busy retail distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support people on site with strong customer service and communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or delivery drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observed issues to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, loading and receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, and/or vendors, verify credentials when required, and document deliveries, pickups, and other site-related activity according to post instructions.
- Support loss prevention and operational goals by observing warehouse and inventory movement, noting policy violations and/or suspicious behavior, and completing detailed incident and activity reports.
