As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support dock and yard operations by observing activity, reporting concerns, and assisting team members and visitors with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution facility.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouses, loading docks, yards, and perimeter areas, noting unusual conditions that could help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and truck traffic by verifying identification and/or shipping documentation as directed, controlling entry and exit, and maintaining visitor, contractor, and driver logs.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, requesting assistance when needed, and completing required notifications.
• Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance concerns, and complete shift activity reports using written logs and/or electronic systems.
