Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and be a friendly point of contact for tenants, visitors, and staff. You will document observations, communicate clearly, and respond to concerns with professionalism. Requirements

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, entrances, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or hazard concerns for reporting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disturbances, medical calls, alarms, and coordinating with property management and public responders as needed.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials where required, assist with visitor and contractor entry processes, and help to maintain orderly flow of people and vehicles.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations using Allied Universal reporting tools, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors, property staff, and oncoming shifts.
