As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to reduce security-related incidents. You will greet and assist employees and visitors, support access control processes, and document observations with clear communication. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to onsite employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and communicating with site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of office, campus, and/or technology facility areas, including building interiors, common areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and building systems during patrols, checking doors, gates, and restricted areas, and helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations.
  • Complete detailed shift reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, using required tools and technology, and promptly reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or unusual activity.
