You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, manage access control and badges, and use a computer and/or tablet to document activity and support the care team. Requirements

  • This is a hospital post where vaccines are required.
  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the chain of command as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance issues.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, provide directions and assistance, and help to support staff with de-escalation and patient or visitor concerns when appropriate.
  • Complete reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
