As an Allied Universal Security Officer supporting a tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, document observations, and provide clear communication and customer service to employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and/or telecommunications location.
  • Monitor access control points, verify identification and authorization, issue temporary badges and/or visitor passes as directed, and document entries, exits, and deliveries according to site requirements.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance as needed and completing detailed incident reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Use radios, phones, and security-related systems such as CCTV, alarm panels, and visitor management logs to communicate updates, track activity, and support shift turnover and/or handoff.
