As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol terminals and surrounding areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist staff and visitors with clear communication, report concerns, and support smooth daily operations. Requirements

• Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Possess a TSA Issued TWIC.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, commuters, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site personnel and public agency partners as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, docks, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter prohibited activity and/or unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and assist with orderly entry and exit flow during peak periods.
• Complete routine reports, incident documentation, and activity logs, and communicate observations and/or concerns through the chain of command.
