Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A guard card/license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the sales floor, entrance areas, parking areas, stockroom spaces, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, observe customer and visitor activity, and/or report suspicious behavior, policy violations, or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
Support closing and opening routines, assist with crowd and line management during busy periods, and/or provide visible presence throughout the location.
