As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support patients, visitors, and staff with courteous customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. Requirements

  • Be 21+ Years of Age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter; observe and report unusual conditions that may help to deter incidents.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.
  • Monitor access points and interior areas, assist with visitor management, and help maintain orderly movement through lobbies, corridors, and treatment-area waiting spaces.
  • Document security-related activities, incidents, and patrol findings in written reports and logs, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
