As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a highly visible presence that may help to reduce security-related incidents. You will greet employees and visitors, communicate clearly, and document observations and concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Control access at entrances and gates by checking identification, verifying visitor and contractor authorization, issuing temporary badges, and directing traffic flow per site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, contacting designated site contacts and/or emergency services as directed, and assisting with evacuations and accountability steps when appropriate.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrols, access activity, incidents, and service requests, and communicate observations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
