As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to routine needs with calm, professional communication. You will document observations, assist staff and visitors with directions and service requests, and support a caring, people-first environment. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entrances and restricted areas, verify identification and/or authorization as directed, and assist with visitor direction and queue management.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical-related disturbances, disruptive behavior, and/or access control issues, and promptly notify appropriate personnel.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts while maintaining confidentiality requirements.
