Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at a dynamic technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant details with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, visitor activity, and delivery traffic in accordance with post instructions, assisting with credential checks and reporting unusual behavior and/or policy concerns.
  • Support day-to-day operations by communicating professionally with employees, guests, and vendors, following established protocols for after-hours activity, restricted areas, and/or escalated situations.
