About The Position

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage production location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge checks, communicate clearly with onsite staff and teammates, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to client staff, visitors, and drivers by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout production, warehouse, office, and exterior perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification, visitor logs, and delivery documentation while directing foot and vehicle traffic in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or public emergency services as directed.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate observations and needed follow-up to the next shift and site contacts.
