As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, and respond to concerns with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with clinical staff and local responders as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and authorized areas, assist with visitor direction and de-escalation requests, and report suspicious behavior and/or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, shift logs, and patrol activity records, and communicate pertinent information during shift turnovers.
