As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state, offering variety across the property as you respond to concerns and document activity. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures within a healthcare location, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting medical staff assistance and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of corridors, lobbies, parking areas, and building perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
  • Control access at designated entrances by verifying credentials, issuing visitor directions, and monitoring for prohibited items and/or suspicious behavior in accordance with site guidelines.
  • Complete detailed incident and shift reports, document security-related activities, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
