Join Allied Universal at a retail and mall location where you will support access control by greeting visitors, confirming authorization, managing entry logs, and monitoring cameras and alarms for unusual activity. You will remain visible at key points to help to deter security-related incidents, respond to calls for assistance, and document observations clearly. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a guard card
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit at doors and vehicle gates by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests to approved locations.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems, report irregular activity, and document observations in written reports and/or electronic logs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site management and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior common areas and exterior perimeters, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
