As an Allied Universal Officer supporting access control at a retail and mall location, you will greet shoppers and associates, manage entry points, verify credentials and/or deliveries, and monitor activity to help identify security-related concerns early. You will complete routine patrols, write clear reports, and communicate with store teams and local responders as needed. Requirements
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail or mall location.
- Monitor entrances and exits, verify identification and/or access credentials, manage visitor and vendor check-in processes, and maintain required access logs.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate site representatives and/or emergency services as needed.
- Observe customer and employee activity near store entry points, report suspicious behavior, and help to deter unauthorized entry and/or theft-related activity through presence and timely reporting.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
