You will manage entry points, verify credentials, greet staff and visitors, monitor cameras and alarms, document security-related activity, and conduct routine patrols to help discourage incidents. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Control access at designated entrances by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests to appropriate locations.
- Monitor entry points and surrounding areas for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or unauthorized access attempts, and report concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and assisting with scene control as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and/or policy concerns.
