As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue and track badges, and monitor activity through routine patrols and camera systems. You will stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, assist employees and visitors with clear communication, and document observations using basic computer tools. You will be part of a caring team that acts with integrity while staying agile, reliable, and innovative.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage manufacturing and distribution location.
• Verify identification, issue visitor badges, manage sign-in and sign-out logs, and help control entry and exit for personnel and vehicles in accordance with post orders.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems, document unusual activity, and promptly report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, securing the area as directed, and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, production areas, shipping and receiving, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or theft.
