As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site personnel and/or dispatch, and provide customer-focused support to employees and visitors. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the warehouse, yard, docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Control access by monitoring gates, doors, and designated entry points, verifying authorization as required, and directing drivers and visitors to proper check-in areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate internal contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
- Complete required reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate security-related information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
