As a Screener with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet drivers and team members, verify identification and shipping documentation, and screen entrants and items per site procedures. You will stay visible at key access points, communicate clearly with operations staff, and document security-related observations to help support smooth, on-time movement of freight. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and/or drivers for authorized entry by checking identification, validating access credentials, and maintaining required entry logs.
  • Conduct screening of bags, parcels, and/or other items as directed by site procedures, including operation of screening equipment when assigned.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting, documentation, and notification to site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around interior work areas, loading dock areas, and/or the perimeter as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
