As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting using computer or tablet tools. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points, alarms, and surveillance systems, helping to control entry and manage visitor flow according to site requirements.
  • Complete incident reports and activity logs, communicate observations to supervisors and/or site contacts, and assist with investigations as directed.
