As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transit location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, with frequent vehicle patrols and rapid response to service needs. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, clear communication, teamwork, and a caring, people-first approach.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to riders, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at government transportation locations.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of transit centers, parking areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and service disruptions in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions in written and/or electronic reports.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public areas for unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity; assist with badge checks, visitor direction, and crowd management as needed.
• Communicate and coordinate with site personnel, dispatch, and public responders as required, providing clear updates and supporting incident scene control until relieved.
