That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As a Security Officer Part Time Driver Patrol in Owings Mills, MD, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role works with a Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”) where you will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule, requiring a six (6) month commitment. Additionally, you can earn more through the Claim-A-Shift Program by picking up extra shifts via the scheduling platform, increasing earnings and gaining experience across multiple sites. This allows for working part-time hours one week and full-time the next, or scaling back when needed. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

Requirements

Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, which is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, common areas, entry points, and perimeter to help identify potential concerns and report security-related issues.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and support lobby and reception area protocols in alignment with site procedures.
Support Allied Universal standards by maintaining a visible presence, providing clear directions and assistance, and reporting maintenance, life-related, and security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
