As an unarmed patrol officer in a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. You will support daily operations with agility, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a team-first culture that puts people first and values innovative, professional service.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with store personnel, visitors, and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, stockroom corridors, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or operational issues according to site protocols.
• Support loss prevention awareness by documenting incidents, completing required reports, and helping to deter unauthorized activity through a visible presence and consistent patrol activity.
