As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and driver check-ins, and conduct routine patrols to help spot and help deter security-related concerns. You will stay visible, respond to reports, document activity, and deliver professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• X‐Ray Screening Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access at entry points by checking identification, issuing and/or collecting badges, managing visitor and contractor sign-in, and directing personnel to approved areas.
• Support gate operations by verifying driver check-in information, coordinating with site contacts for approvals, monitoring inbound and outbound traffic flow, and reporting irregular activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions taken, and supporting arriving responders as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of docks, yards, parking areas, and perimeter points, and complete security-related reports and logs per site requirements.
