Job Description As a Security Officer - Part Time Access Control in Belle Glade, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Guard card is required.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and help to control access to restricted areas in accordance with site policies.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and public officials as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to identify potential security-related concerns, noting that working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Prepare clear reports of visitor activity, incidents, and/or policy-related issues, and assist with directing employees, visitors, and contractors in a professional manner.
