As an Allied Universal Security Officer supporting access control at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and manage visitor processing while maintaining a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, communicate clearly with employees and guests, and document activity with professionalism. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
  • Control entry and exit by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and managing delivery and contractor check-in and/or check-out in accordance with post orders.
  • Monitor gates, doors, and access points using logs, radios, phones, and electronic access systems, reporting irregularities and maintenance concerns per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete required reports such as access logs, incident reports, and shift activity documentation to help support security-related operations and help to deter unauthorized access.
