About The Position

As a Security Officer - Parking Garage Patrol in Shepherdsville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while providing great customer service. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology services location.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor badges, and directing foot and vehicle traffic as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or irregular conditions.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other security-related systems, and communicate observations to the appropriate contacts per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document activities in reports and logs, and notify site leadership and/or public responders when required.
