As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site personnel and/or visitors, and respond to calls for service with professionalism. Requirements

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have a guard card and/or license preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, process areas, parking areas, and perimeter fencing, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas by verifying credentials, controlling entry and exit, and directing visitors and contractors according to location requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site personnel and public responders as directed.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, including patrol activity, incident documentation, and communication of security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
