As a Screener with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas while supporting security-related screening at key entry and exit points. You will conduct routine checks, stay visible to help deter incidents, and communicate clearly with employees, drivers, and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a high-volume logistics location.
Screen employees, visitors, and/or vendors at entry points by verifying identification and authorization, conducting walk-through and handheld metal detection as assigned, and performing bag and package inspections in accordance with post orders.
Control access for pedestrian and vehicle traffic by checking credentials, validating appointments and/or work orders, and directing drivers to designated routes, docks, and staging areas while maintaining required documentation.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
Complete required reports and logs, monitor cameras and alarm systems as assigned, and conduct regular and random patrols around the building and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
