As a Screener with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas while supporting security-related screening at key entry and exit points. You will conduct routine checks, stay visible to help deter incidents, and communicate clearly with employees, drivers, and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a high-volume logistics location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and/or vendors at entry points by verifying identification and authorization, conducting walk-through and handheld metal detection as assigned, and performing bag and package inspections in accordance with post orders.
  • Control access for pedestrian and vehicle traffic by checking credentials, validating appointments and/or work orders, and directing drivers to designated routes, docks, and staging areas while maintaining required documentation.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
  • Complete required reports and logs, monitor cameras and alarm systems as assigned, and conduct regular and random patrols around the building and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
