  • Provide a safe and secure environment in the hotel by ensuring proper security methods and procedures are consistently followed.
  • Ensure all employees adhere to safety rules and procedures, taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Communicate hazards to department heads and implement appropriate corrective actions to improve safety and security.
  • Complete daily security logs with pertinent information from the shift.
  • Monitor all activity and diligently oversee building video surveillance.
  • Regularly inspect the hotel to identify potential security or safety issues and take necessary actions to address them.
  • Keep hotel management informed of all significant problems or unusual matters.
  • Understand and execute written procedures for handling emergencies requiring evacuation, such as fire or bomb threats.
  • Respond immediately to all emergency situations and take appropriate actions to safeguard guests and employees.
  • Process all written reports involving security incidents and customer or employee accidents.
  • Investigate and report on customer or employee injuries, thefts, assaults, and other complaints as necessary.
  • Ensure all hotel entrances and exits are secured according to hotel policy.
  • Maintain hotel key management procedures, ensuring accountability and access is limited to authorized personnel.
  • Close down different outlets each night as per post orders and secure meeting and exhibit rooms to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Log and deliver all in-house packages and monitor outgoing deliveries.
  • Check in and out all vendors to the hotel.
  • Meet with leaders regularly to discuss security operations and improvements.
  • Associates/Bachelors Degree or equivalent preferred; additional training (e.g., military, law enforcement) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of one year security experience is ideal.
  • Experience with MS Office applications and Outlook is required.
  • Previous work experience in a high-volume, customer-service oriented environment is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team is necessary.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to exceptional guest service is required.
  • Adherence to hotel policies and procedures is mandatory.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including overnights, weekends, and holidays.
