Job Description As a Security Officer - Overnight Unarmed Rounds in Alexandria, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe and report unusual activity, and assist riders and staff with professional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site contacts and public agency partners as directed. Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or operational concerns. Monitor access points and controlled areas, verifying credentials and directing foot and vehicle traffic in accordance with post orders and site policies. Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation per Allied Universal requirements and site procedures, using required communication methods and equipment. Minimum Requirements: Customer service experience is preferred. Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred. Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred. CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire. Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred. Requirements
