Requirements

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Overnight availability as this person will take on a couple overnight shifts per week.
• Refined verbal and written communication.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.
• Previous hotel security experience preferred.
• Must be a self-starter who can work effectively with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hotel property to ensure the safety of guests and colleagues and protect all hotel assets.
• Ensure proper tracking of patrols and Non-Tour Tasks (NTTs) through the designated reporting system.
• Monitor and operate CCTV systems to detect and prevent security risks.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, including medical incidents, disturbances, and security threats.
• Provide first aid and administer CPR when necessary.
• Document all incidents accurately through detailed incident reports.
• Assist guests with room access requests in accordance with hotel policy.
• Initiate and follow up on investigations of crimes committed against property or individuals.
• Document and correct (within ability) any observed safety hazards, and escalate issues beyond scope to the appropriate department.
• Secure hotel areas when not in operation (meeting rooms, outlets, restricted spaces, etc.).
• Ensure bi-weekly and monthly safety and security inspections are completed and documented.
• Support delivery of requested items to guest rooms when required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Security.
• Maintain audits and conduct follow-up on key violations in accordance with hotel security standards.
• Monitor, inventory, and follow up on all Lost & Found items to ensure proper handling and guest service.
