As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and report unusual activity with clear, timely communication. You will support access control, respond to alarms and service calls, and deliver helpful customer service to employees and visitors. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to the client by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical and/or petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, tank farms, warehouses, and the site perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Control access at gates and designated entry points by checking identification and/or visitor credentials, confirming authorization, and directing visitors and contractors according to site procedures.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, radios, and other communications systems; document observations and unusual conditions per post orders and site requirements.
