As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a residential community, you will manage access control, greet residents and guests, verify credentials, and monitor activity to help reduce security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, document concerns, and communicate clearly with residents, property staff, and responders. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, supporting mobile checks and quick response when needed.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access at community entry points by verifying identification, authorizations, and visitor purpose, and by issuing credentials as directed by post orders.
• Monitor cameras, gates, intercoms, and other access systems, and report suspicious activity and/or maintenance issues to the appropriate parties.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and escalating concerns per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, amenities, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
