About The Position

As a Security Officer - Overnight Hospital Patrol in Poway, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. This is a driving post. You will also assist with routine patrols and customer service while helping to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
This position is located in a hospital morgue environment.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
Screen individuals entering the location by checking required credentials, following visitor processing steps, and communicating entry requirements in a calm and professional manner.
Monitor assigned entrances and waiting areas for unusual activity, policy concerns, and/or prohibited items, and report security-related issues to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
Respond to incidents, escalations, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and actions taken according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points and nearby areas as directed, noting conditions that could help to deter unauthorized access and support orderly operations.
