About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech/Media Patrol in Murray Hill, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a tech and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and remain highly visible. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate with staff and visitors, and contribute to a welcoming environment as part of the Allied Universal team.

Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to site protocols.
Assist employees, visitors, and/or contractors with access and general information as needed.
Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site management to support security-related needs.
Complete required reports and documentation accurately and promptly.
