About The Position

As a Security Officer - Corporate Front Desk in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal at a residential condominium front desk where you will welcome residents and guests, manage access control and badge verification, monitor cameras and alarms, document security-related activity, and coordinate quick communication with site leadership and emergency services when needed. Requirements

  • Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Have a guard card and/or license preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Staff the front desk to greet and direct visitors, assist with wayfinding, and answer phones and/or intercom communications as required by site procedures.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor passes when authorized, and documenting entries and exits per site policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and completing required reports.
  • Monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, and access control, and report irregular conditions per post orders.
