About The Position

As a Security Officer - Utility Communications Center in Carmel, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will support day to day security-related operations by monitoring alarms and cameras, coordinating responses, documenting activity, and communicating clearly with site personnel and first responders. You will be a calm, customer focused presence who helps teams stay informed during routine activity and unexpected events. Requirements

Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience OR a college degree.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
Have customer service experience, preferred.
Have CPR certification, preferred, and it may be completed post hire.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Receive and dispatch calls for service, alarms, and security-related notifications, coordinating response per site procedures for a utilities location.
Monitor alarm panels, communications systems, and other monitoring tools, and communicate status updates to appropriate personnel using phone, radio, and/or other approved channels.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services when required by procedure.
Document dispatch activity, incident details, and shift events in written reports and electronic logs in a timely manner.
Support access control operations by verifying authorization, processing visitor and contractor entries per policy, and reporting irregularities.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.

Assist with coordinating site notifications, work order impacts, and utility operations-related communications as directed by site-specific policy.
Participate in briefings, post orders review, and required training to remain familiar with site layouts, response protocols, and communications expectations.
