About The Position

Securitas is hosting open interviews for Security Officer positions in the Northern & Western Chicago Suburbs. We encourage former military and law enforcement personnel to apply. Various shift options are available. The hiring event will take place on Monday, September 15th from 9am to 1pm. The wage for this position ranges from $18.00 to $23.00 per hour. Candidates are required to bring a resume and dress in business casual attire when arriving at the branch office. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required, or ability to complete GED program within 6 months.
• Standard computer and technology skills needed.
• Customer service background preferred.
• Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience is a plus.
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout the shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid and effective judgment and use appropriate escalation measures.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in Securitas' pre-employment screening process, including drug screening and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Secure entrances and exits.
• Conduct patrols inside and outside the client's premises in various weather conditions.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Protect evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.
• Set up barriers and signage and provide direction or information to others.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.
