As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet tenants and visitors, document observations, and communicate clearly with site contacts while responding to concerns. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual conditions, unsecured doors, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations, and report findings per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access issues, disturbances, and/or tenant concerns, and escalating to management and/or public services when needed.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management activities such as greeting, directing, observing for prohibited items, and documenting entries and/or exits as required by site procedures.
  • Complete detailed shift activity reports and incident documentation, communicate relevant updates during shift transitions, and support property management with security-related observations and service requests.
