About The Position

As a Security Officer Office Building in Ann Arbor, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Posses a valid drivers licesne for at least 1 year
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access support activities, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and communicate with site contacts regarding deliveries, visitor requests, and/or security-related issues.
Support day-to-day operations by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and assisting with incident reporting, escalation, and/or coordination with local responders when needed.
