About The Position

As a Security Officer - Nighttime Property Patrol in Prince George, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors, and document observations in a professional manner. You will bring an agile, reliable, and innovative approach while working as a team, acting with integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a food and beverage production and distribution location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, processing areas, yards, parking areas, and the perimeter, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity or hazards per site guidelines.
  • Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, verifying visitor and contractor authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals to the proper location.
  • Monitor alarms, doors, gates, and surveillance systems where assigned, responding to alerts and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as required by post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing detailed incident reports and communicating key information to Allied Universal supervision and client representatives.
